Ruby is 5!

Little Ruby turned 5! What a week - I still get so surprised with the overwhelming feeling of emotions on her birthday. So excited to celebrate the amazingness that is her but also sad as the realization hits little Ruby is growing up. It’s the never-ending cycle of being a parent - sigh.

Parties during Covid are actually tricky! We couldn’t do it at home since our new house is still a disaster and many venues are closed. So I had to get creative. But Ruby had a vision - which actually really helped. She wanted a Mermaid, Fairy, and Pirate themed party. At first I had no idea what to do with that but luckily I found A Faery Hunt who just happen to have Mermaid, Fairy, and Pirate performers who were AMAZING! She also specified having the party at Coldwater Canyon Park because, “you know they have a creek for the Mermaid”! My little party planner! So somehow we pulled it off - Ruby dressed up as a Mermaid, her friends could choose to be Fairies or Pirates and they were entertained with an interactive performance for over an hour! Ruby was so happy and the kids had fun - so that’s all that matters. Happy 5 years baby girl - you are a wonder to me. I love you so much!
