Hi!  I'm Sejal.  This is my personal journal. Sometimes Iā€™m good about writing. Sometimes Iā€™m not.

Strut Baby Girl

Ruby has the most amazing strut.  It's confident and sassy.  She owns it with her head high and her hips moving back and forth.  I want to be her sometimes.

Every morning, Ruby's nanny Rebeca, gets her ready for the day.  Rebeca is basically Ruby's stylist (among a million other things).  She loves putting outfits together and takes pride in how Ruby looks down to her shoes and hair accessories.  So when she's done getting her ready, she brings Ruby out and we all make a big deal of how beautiful she looks.  We comment on her hair, her outfit, her shoes, everything.  You can see how happy it makes her when we give her compliments.  And then she just struts around the house with a big smile on her face.  That's how she starts her day, EVERY DAY.

And then I got to thinking, "Who wouldn't want a string of enthusiastic compliments every morning?"  I mean, if that's how I started my morning, I would probably be super confident and happy too.  Why don't we do this as adults?  Why do we stop complimenting each other like we do little kids?  I feel like the world would be a more positive and funner place!  So thanks to the reminder from little Ruby I'm going to compliment people more often.  Because everyone could use a little extra love.  :)

Keep on strutting Baby Girl!
